I listen to a lot of podcasts during my morning commute, including Radiolab. I was delighted when they published Italo Calvino's short story The Distance of the Moon. Such a wonderful story, and great to hear someone tackling the frankly ludicrous names!

I was recently reminded of, and re-watched, this presentation by friend and colleague Ian Smith (follow him on twitter, or visit his homepage). What struck me was

1. how good a presentation it is;
   
2. how bad most of the other presentations I'm subjected to are

Do me a favour and watch it, internalise it and make better presentations. (I mean, obviously, not you - everyone else...)

Took a while to get this, but it's a new favourite xkcd comic. With apologies to all non-geeks reading.
