Today turned out to be fairly typical of a day in the office. Here’s how it played out:

Having survived the first day and got my bearings again, I’m about to embark on the first day back in the office.

First day back: reflections

So a few metrics:

Passwords changed: 6 (8 if you include the one I had to reset twice)

Software updates applied: 160+ (granted, this was a background task)

Emails:

I'm just returning to work following two months unpaid sabbatical looking after our youngest daughter, thanks to the relatively recently introduced Additional Paternity Leave. I can honestly say that this is one of the most rewarding things I've done (especially having also done the same for our first daughter).
